Updating your SFTP Credentials in Affiliate Advertiser Pro
Our system uses Data Transfer Subscriptions created in your CJ Affiliate account to transmit Extension and Correction files automatically. If these Subscriptions have not yet been created, please refer back to Step 2: Creating an Extension Subscription and Step 3: Creating a Correction Subscription before continuing.
Important! Affiliate Advertiser Pro customers who have signed an Agency Authorization Agreement can skip this step. Our agreement with CJ allows your Affiliate Advertiser Pro onboarding specialist to complete this process on your behalf, no additional setup necessary.
Step 1: Reset your SFTP Password
In this step you will reset the SFTP password for your CJ Affiliate Subscriptions through the CJ Affiliate portal.
Before continuing, check your email to see if you received SFTP credentials from the CJ Affiliate team directly after your Subscriptions were created.
If you received an email with SFTP credentials, please proceed to Step 2.
Navigate to the Subscriptions page in your CJ Affiliate account by expanding "Account" from the top menu and clicking Subscriptions.
On the right-hand side of the page, click the dropdown arrow next to Reset Password and choose SFTP, as shown below.
The following confirmation window will appear. Click Reset Password.
Important! This will reset the password immediately for all Subscriptions using this transfer method. Once initiated you must complete the process of updating Affiliate Advertiser Pro with the new password, otherwise our system will not be able to submit updates to your CJ Affiliate account.
A banner will appear at the top of the page confirming the password has been reset and an email containing updated SFTP credentials has been sent.
Please proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Retrieve the SFTP Account details from your email
Login to the email account associated with your CJ Affiliate account and check for a subject line similar to New CJ Affiliate CJ SFTP Server Credentials
. The email is sent from datatransfer@cj.com
and may be in your spam folder.
The message should be similar to the one below.
Once you have found the email, copy the Password value and proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Store your SFTP password in Affiliate Advertiser Pro
Navigate to the Affiliate Advertiser Pro app and click the "Edit" button underneath the CJ Affiliate Account Details section.
Paste your newly generated SFTP password into the CJ FTP Password field.
Be sure to click Save!
Congrats! You've successfully reset your SFTP password for your CJ Affiliate account and stored it in Affiliate Advertiser Pro. Our automated processes to manage your commissions will kick off immediately in the background.
